A home once owned by Mary Baker Eddy, the founder of Christian Science. Florence Street with its bevy of Colonial Revival style homes. Adams Park, a shelter of greenery in the heart of Roslindale Square. All of these are stops on Walk Boston’s 25-stop walking tour of Roslindale.
And though it’s not on that list, this condo is an excellent starting point given that its just steps from the Square with shops and restaurants, and a short walk from the MBTA’s Roslindale Village commuter rail stop.
This unit is on the second floor of an elevatored mid-rise building with a total of 19 units. It’s south facing and located in the front of the building, separating it sonically and physically from the the MBTA’s commuter rail tracks behind the development.
Stepping through the doorway, one is directly in the unit itself as there is no interior foyer. Signaling the petite size of the unit overall, there is also no front hall closet, but current owners use a coat rack in that role.
The unit immediately displays its benefits in the space shared by the kitchen and the living area. The ceilings are 9 feet high, there is engineered hardwood on the floors, and it’s all bathed in natural light from a pair of large casement-style windows of clear panes of glass.
Just to the left from the entry is the unit’s full bathroom with tile flooring and a single brown vanity cabinet with a white quartz sink. There is a curtained shower/bath combination with a white subway tile backsplash.

The kitchen is on the right side of the unit. It features a two-tone design for the Shaker style cabinetry. The upper level cabinets are white floating style while the lower level are walnut. The range is gas and appliances are stainless steel. An walnut-toned island topped by white quartz is underneath a pair of pendant lights; an excellent spot for food prep, it also provides a dining area for three.
The living area, directly underneath the large casement windows, has recessed lighting and is currently occupied by a couch, a plush chair, and an entertainment console.

The two bedrooms are separated by the living area and both are behind solid wood doors.
The primary bedroom retains the 9-foot ceiling height of the living/kitchen area along with the engineered hardwood flooring. Natural light arrives through two double-hung windows. The closet has a double doors.

The second, smaller bedroom is across the living room and is a mirror image of the larger one with the same set of windows, engineered hardwood flooring, and the closet. But there is one significant difference; the second bedroom has a windowed door leading to a private 120-square-foot balcony that looks south.

The home features a laundry closet with stacked appliances. There is central air, a heat pump, and a garage space in the lower level of a stacked parking system. There is no additional storage for the unit.
The complex does not have visitor parking but is adjacent to a city-owned lot.
Judy Paradis of Compass has the listing. As of press time, a contingent offer has been accepted for this property.
